Pele and Her Sister

Pele and Her Sister

$60.00–$110.00

This is an impression or rather a vision from my visit at the Biggest Island of the Hawaiian chain. It reflects the legend of goddess Pele and her sister – the goddess of oceans. They quarreled about one god and in order to take revenge on her sister Pele is pouring lava down to reduce her territory. The conflict continues forever. The picture depicts the two of them before the broil.
The watercolour is painted on the Big Island during my stay there.
Materials – pencils and dry pastel here and there.
